About this position: ACA Supervisor Location – El Paso, TX The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Shall be responsible for the creation, implementation, maintenance, and activation of the ACA governing regulations. This is a significant standard of policy review and upkeep, which requires thousands of hours of data forms, accountability of forms and entry. The El Paso SPC is currently an accredited facility according to ACA protocol. The ACA team provides overall support for PBNDS standards and creation and maintenance of hundreds of post orders and several emergency plans. The ACA supervisor’s primary role will be to ensure that the facility compliance components of the Performance Based National Detention Standards (PBNDS) and ACA standards are tracked, inventoried, and monitored according to facility management directions. These tasks will be carried out over the contract and any task order issued by ICE. The ACA supervisor will take a proactive role in correcting any deficiency that occurs, to include corrective plans of actions for facility policy and other Contractor employees who fail to meet ICE requirements and expectations. The ACA supervisor’s daily schedule will be according to ICE needs and working with the SDDO compliance supervisor, or as directed by the COR. Perform all duties as directed in accordance with PBNDS/ACA and ICE facility policy standards. Review policies and ensure they are updated in accordance with PBNDS/ACA. Follow and abide by company polices and directives Ability to clearly and articulately create, write and publish policy and procedures. Respond to emergency situations, such as fires, facility disturbances, riots, etc. Observe, prevent, and report all instances of disorder or non-compliance as directed by ICE and Contractor policies and procedures. Conduct Investigations Respond to Detainee Grievances Work in a team setting and have the ability to work with Federal Employees and Contractors. Other assigned duties as designated by the PM. Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications Level of Experience Requirements: Current ICE Public Trust Clearance 10 years’ experience in a detention or correctional setting Performance demonstration of good conduct and personal character Ability to write comprehensive and analytical policies and procedures. Demonstrate ability to work in a Team or Self-driven environment. Ability to demonstrate acute knowledge of PBNDS and ACA policy, as applicable to the EPSPC. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics Physically capable of responding to emergencies, such as running with a fire extinguisher. Capable of understanding and applying written and verbal orders, rules, and regulations. English literacy and ability to write reports in English Meet physical/health requirements for duties. Ability to use Computer Programs, such as Microsoft Excel and Word. Preferred Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University Ability to speak, write and comprehend a second language (Spanish or any language) Supervisory Responsibilities This position will have supervisory responsibilities. DOT Covered/Safety-Sensitive Role Requirements This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation “safety-sensitive” functions. Necessary Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. Essential job functions will require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking or standing, and complex movements for prolonged periods of time. Applicants must be able to perform through pat-down searches and be able to physically search physical structures for contraband. Applicants must be able to respond to emergency situations, such as fires and run for prolonged distances with a fire extinguisher. Applicants must also be able to respond to physical disturbances that are violent in nature. Applicant must be able to assist in quelling physical altercations, as well as defending themselves from physical assault. Job is performed in a multitude of settings. There are various positions that could tentatively be performed on any given 8 – 12 hour day. These include the following: Exposure to extreme climate temperatures and conditions Exposure to sun and climate conditions, to include standing up and/or walking for more than 8 hours. Sitting at desk and periodically walking to conduct security checks Utilizing computers in offices or buildings Confined to office space for more than 8 hours Additional Qualifying Factors As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain and maintain the appropriate clearance levels required and must also be able to obtain access to military installations.
