Job Description
We are looking for two outgoing and ambitious interns who are passionate about economy, marketing, operations management, and event planning. Together, they will assist in the day‑to‑day activities, promote the Chamber, recruit new members and organize the Chamber’s events and operations.
Finance and Business Development Intern
As the Finance and Business Development Intern, you will play a crucial role in our organization’s financial operations and business development initiatives. Your responsibilities will encompass a diverse range of tasks.
Day‑to‑day accounting activities, including handling invoices, processing financial transactions, and reconciling accounts.
Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets, analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and providing insights to inform budgetary decisions.
Collaborate with our treasurer to support Chamber financial management activities, which may include conducting financial analysis and preparing reports.
Assist in membership program development and recruiting new Chamber members.
Organize Chamber events, including coordinating volunteers and attending Chamber‑specific networking events.
Provide general office administration and prepare board meetings.
Please note: While candidates are welcome to apply for multiple positions at SACC, it is not allowed to accept an offered position and subsequently accept a second position at SACC. Doing so will result in disqualification from both positions.
Requirements
Currently enrolled in a university program or recently graduated in a relevant field.
Higher education within business administration, finance, communication, or a related field.
Swedish citizenship or strong ties to Sweden (for U.S. visa purposes).
Excellent verbal and written skills in both Swedish and English.
Demonstrate the ability to work independently, juggling multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Possess a strong, outgoing service‑oriented mindset, understanding the importance of client satisfaction and relationship‑building.
Related work or extracurricular experience.
Leadership and teamwork skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Driver's license.

This is a six‑month internship starting in July of 2026. The internship does not provide monetary compensation as SACC‑USA is a non‑profit organization. As an intern abroad, you can apply for scholarships. Depending on the university program, some students may also be eligible for student aid from CSN. SACC‑USA will assist with the visa application process. To be eligible for a J‑1 visa, you must be a Swedish citizen.
You will gain valuable real‑world experience and business‑related skills, while also developing a professional international network. Working in a highly inspirational atmosphere and collaborating with industry leaders and professionals across various business sectors will allow you to acquire new experiences and enhance your skills. You will gain insight into how business is conducted in the U.S., as well as improve your English speaking and writing skills. Developing an understanding of U.S. customs and culture and becoming adept at cross‑cultural communication are invaluable skills for your future career.

You also have the option to rent a furnished apartment, shared with another trainee, where you’ll split the rent and utilities.
