Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking a creative, detail-oriented Videographer to produce high-quality visual content. This role will support marketing initiatives, internal and external communications, and storytelling across the lab. The successful candidate will collaborate with multiple teams to capture, communicate, and transform complex ideas into clear, engaging, visually compelling content.

Key Responsibilities
Plans, shoots, and edits original video content for marketing campaigns and internal communications while maintaining brand consistency
Operates and maintains professional video, lighting, and audio equipment
Collaborates with engineers and subject matter experts to capture and communicate complex technical processes and projects
Develops creative concepts in partnership with internal stakeholders and brings them to life through compelling visual storytelling
Captures and produces video content for webinars, lectures, and live events
Supports live streaming and hybrid event production, including setup, operation, and troubleshooting of audio/visual equipment
Manages video projects from concept through final delivery, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met
Organizes and maintains video assets, including raw footage, project files, and final exports
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in film, video production, motion design, or a related field
Professional experience in video production, with a strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality work (required for consideration)
Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and deliver high-quality video content efficiently
Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem‑solving skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Media Encoder, etc.)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Strong storytelling skills, including experience conducting interviews and content research
Solid understanding of video production fundamentals (composition, lighting, sound design, and editing)
Understanding of video optimization for web, social media, and internal platforms
Strong situational awareness demonstrated by the ability to build trust, manage expectations, and navigate complex conversations with diplomacy
Ability to assess and meet tight deadlines, set individual priorities, and maintain flexibility when priorities shift
Must be a US citizen, lawful permanent resident of the US, or other US person
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using motion graphics and animation tools
Knowledge of typography and graphic design best practices
Ability to capture and edit still photography
Salary Range
$46,000 - $96,000
Salary commensurate on education and relevant experience
