Job Summary
Lead all plant personnel by providing leadership, guidance and follow-through in support of our customer’s demands and requirements. The focus of the job is to maximize service to our customers via improving production efficiencies improving safety and quality performance of the facility with the available resources.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
Production

Strong experience in managing a diverse workforce in a fast paced manufacturing environment.

Demonstrated success in establishing a lean material flow throughout the facility and in coordination with sister facilities.

Ability to track operational and asset efficiency rates. Instill a facility-wide commitment to 100% on-time delivery of all products.

Implement, follow and continuously improve corporate and facility QMS. Consistently reduce annual PPM rate·

Follow company policy and procedures (safety, quality, productivity, discipline, order, and continuous improvement.

Materials/Inventory

Ensure inventory is maintained with a focus on 8 turns annually. Ensure all BOM is up to date and accurate per the costing process, specifying new material requirements, strong adherence to 5-S principles.

People Management

Coach and training all facility personnel in all disciplines of the business. Maintain open and consistent communications with corporate Human Resources, Accounting, Engineering, Sales and Operations along with other company Plant managers and General Managers.

Required Qualifications & Experiences

Experience and knowledge of the Automotive Market, Associates Degree or equivalent education.

Must have 5+ years of supervisory level experience within a manufacturing industry.

Experience in leadership utilizing Lean Application methodologies.

Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) with external/internal customers.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel is a must.

Understanding of the OEM market drivers and pressures.

Some Extended Hours & Weekends as necessary.

Must submit to a drug screening and background check.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises all employees in the production, customer service, quality and materials departments.

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, planning, directing work, appraising performance, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and talk or hear.

The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, and climb or balance.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Noise is low to moderate.
