Job Summary The Director of Nursing will oversee the overall operations of the nursing department within a skilled nursing setting. This leader will ensure high standards of clinical care, maintain regulatory compliance, and foster a supportive environment focused on resident-centered care and staff engagement. The role works closely with administrative leadership to promote quality outcomes, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement in nursing services.
Salary Range:
$110,000 - $120,000 annually (based on experience, skills, and qualifications) Schedule:
Full-time Work Location:
Aurora, Ohio (in person)
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and oversight of daily nursing department operations in a skilled nursing environment.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local healthcare regulations and internal policies.
Recruit, mentor, and support nursing staff to promote professional growth and high-quality patient care.
Collaborate with leadership to implement clinical initiatives, policies, and quality improvement strategies.
Monitor clinical outcomes, regulatory compliance, and resident satisfaction metrics.
Maintain a safe and supportive environment for residents and staff.
Utilize electronic health records and clinical systems to support accurate documentation and reporting.
Qualifications
Active, unencumbered
Registered Nurse (RN)
license in the state of practice.
Current
BLS or CPR certification.
Minimum
2 years of supervisory nursing experience , preferably within skilled nursing or long-term care.
Strong leadership, communication, and team-building abilities.
Experience working with electronic health records and clinical documentation systems.
