Job Description
The Videographer and Photographer works directly under the Strategic Communications and Media Manager and is responsible for producing engaging marketing, educational, and event‑based videos and photos that promote DEW and its partners across South Carolina. This role involves filming, editing, and producing both long‑form and short‑form videos, including commercials and social media content, and may require statewide travel to cover interviews, hiring events, press conferences, and ceremonies.
Key Responsibilities
Write, storyboard, shoot, develop, and edit videos for clear information and instructions.
Troubleshoot recording issues and train DEW staff in video editing software.
Assist with special video content for executive and senior staff at job fairs, Facebook Live events, and leadership‑related content.
Capture important agency moments through photography.
Assist with non‑traditional media such as stories, reels for social media, podcasts, and interview recordings.
Education and Experience
A minimum of two years working in video production, whether professionally or in an academic setting. Must have a high school degree.
Additional Requirements
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Premiere Pro, is needed.
Overnight travel will be required on occasion.
Familiarity with After Effects or animation is a plus, but not a requirement.
