$43.69 - $67.72 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

What you will do:

This leadership role is primarily responsible for coordinating and facilitating structures and processes that support external nursing students pursing clinical experiences at Endeavor Health for undergraduate and graduate nursing degrees. The Program Manager develops and maintains collegial relationships with Endeavor Health's academic School of Nursing partners. In addition, this role promotes ongoing professional development of nurses to pursue advanced degrees and certification in nursing specialties. In collaboration with Nursing Professional Development and Advancement team members, advocates for and promotes educational offerings to include continuing education credits.

Student Placement (50%)
  • Acts as a liaison and contact to School of Nursing partners
  • Coordinates regular communication with School of Nursing partners
  • Oversees the placement of all nursing students in undergraduate and graduate clinical experiences for Endeavor Health.
    • Leads the review process of applications from both internal and external nursing students seeking clinical placement
    • Coordinates placement of clinical groups on units
    • Assures timely responses to clinical experience applications
    • Maintain records of all internal and external nurse applicants requesting clinical experience at Endeavor Health.
    • Maintains database(s) to evaluate number of students placed, number of students denied, preceptors working with students and other needed data as requested
  • Evaluates clinical instructors overseeing undergraduate nursing students at Endeavor Health sites


Master Affiliation Agreements and Program Memorandums (30%)
  • Oversees the Master Affiliation Agreements and Program Memorandums for specific nursing programs
    • Consults with Endeavor legal council regarding issues/concerns/questions related to school agreements
  • Addresses any issues/concerns that arise with student and/or faculty during clinical rotations


Professional Development (20%)
  • Guides students in process of implementing a student project at Endeavor Health
  • Identifies and participates in evidenced-based and nursing research projects.
  • Mentors others in nursing evidence-based and research projects.
  • Participates in the Professional Nursing Organization of choice to generate energy, contribute to the flow and communication of new nursing knowledge, and to advocate for the needs of nurses and society.
  • Advocates for nurses to practice to the full extent of their role in the delivery of health care


What you will need:
  • Education: Master's Degree in nursing is required. Doctorate in Nursing Practice is desirable.
  • Certification: Current Professional Nursing Licensure in the State of Illinois. Current nursing specialty certification; if no specialty nursing certification, certification required within one year of assuming role. Current Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and/or Neonatal Resuscitation as applicable to role.
  • Experience: At least five years of experience with professional organizations, committees, and councils promoting the advancement of nursing.
  • Unique or Preferred Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to engage in dialogue with diverse audiences. Commitment to teamwork; ability to work with others to set and accomplish goals through collaboration and coordination. Possesses presentation skills necessary to provide information to school partners. Commitment to continued personal professional development as evidenced by attendance at seminars, conferences, maintaining specialty certification, etc. Proven leadership abilities with evidence of successful project management and interpersonal skills; openly seeks innovative approaches for process development and improvement. Knowledge of data management. Sound critical thinking skills. Ability to provide self-direction and independent decision-making skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Commitment to teamwork; ability to work with others to set and accomplish goals through collaboration and coordination. Flexibility in work schedule
