Position Summary
The Media Production Intern will learn to support daily operations by assisting in the planning and creation of media content for the Media Production department. The position offers hands‑on experience including shadowing professionals, attending meetings, performing administrative tasks, and collaborating on team projects to expand media production skills in a ministry setting. It is crucial that this position supports the mission and values of It Is Written by exemplifying the values and beliefs of the Seventh‑day Adventist Church in all interactions.
Authority & Accountability
Authority as delegated by the Director of Media Production and directly responsible to the Producers. Performs all duties in accordance with It Is Written’s policies and objectives.
Essential Position Functions
Help research script ideas and themes.
Assist with scheduling talent, crew, filming locations, accommodations, and travel.
Format scripts for teleprompter use.
Operate teleprompter and/or timeclock during studio production.
Assist with setup, teardown, and operation of elements in the studio, including cameras, lighting, and audio.
Assist with video and audio editing as needed.
Find supplemental video content for episodes.
Assist in logging program metadata in program databases.
Help organize media libraries, including keyword tagging.
Assist the Media Production department in developing strategies to improve the department’s efficiency and effectiveness.
Fulfill other related responsibilities and duties as assigned.
Position Specifications
Qualifications, Scope, and Complexity of Duties:
Education:
Required: A high school diploma, or equivalent.
Preferred: At least two (2) years of college education in communication, video production, or related field.
Experience:
Demonstrated experience with previous projects in video production.

Skills, scope, and complexity of duties:
Possess familiarity and knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Apple Final Cut Pro, and/or DaVinci Resolve.
Demonstrate knowledge and experience in both production and post‑production techniques.
Exhibit a willingness to learn new skills and technologies.
Maintain a positive attitude and a sharp attention to detail.
Demonstrate good interpersonal communication skills.
Exhibit time‑management and multitasking skills.
Has a close relationship with Jesus Christ and sets a good example for others.

Working Conditions
General working conditions of an office and a production studio.
Occasional moderate stress due to meeting daily deadlines.
Prolonged sitting, computer viewing, and repetitive motion from keyboard and mouse use.
Physical requirements: requires standing, walking, time at a desk, reaching, climbing, and lifting (maximum of 50 lbs.)
Specific Requirements:
Hourly, 20-29 regular hours per week.
May occasionally require variable hours.
No special clothing or safety gear is required.
Business casual attire is required.
