Network Engineer (Melbourne)

A client of Insight Global is seeking an IP Configuration Engineer to support a large‑scale network modernization effort across 4,000+ sites. This role will be part of a collaborative team of engineers working cross‑functionally with multiple support teams. The engineer will be responsible for creating and maintaining customized IP network configurations based on customer requirements, ensuring accuracy in network designs, configurations, and documentation. A strong attention to detail is critical to success in this role.
Required Skills & Experience
• 4+ years of experience as a Configuration Engineer or Network Engineer
• Strong experience designing and integrating multi‑level IP networks
• Ability to perform IP subnetting without a calculator
• Hands‑on experience configuring and troubleshooting routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, HSRP)
• Proficiency with Cisco CLI
• Solid understanding of Layer 2 switching
Compensation
$40-50 per hour
