Tour Manager & Audio Stagehand for Touring DJ
Location: Los Angeles, CA (Must be based in LA)
Availability: Thursday – Sunday travel required most weeks
We are seeking a highly organized individual to fill the role of Tour Manager for a touring DJ. This position combines logistical coordination with hands‑on technical expertise to ensure the seamless execution of shows. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑energy environment, managing on‑the‑ground tour operations while also supporting technically at a basic level with DJ decks. This role requires a flexible schedule, excellent communication skills, and a passion for the music industry.
Responsibilities Oversee travel arrangements, including team management to flights, accommodations, and ground transportation.
Serve as the primary liaison between the DJ, venues, and event promoters.
Oversee sound checks, set times, and the overall event flow to ensure smooth operations.
Address on‑site challenges or last‑minute changes with professionalism and efficiency.
Work closely with the videographer, DJ, and other team members to ensure seamless communication and support.
Provide assistance with talent management, including scheduling and personal needs during tours.
Set up audio equipment at venues, ensuring all systems are functioning properly.
Provide technical support during performances, including troubleshooting audio issues with DJ boards.
Handle microphones, cables, and other audio equipment throughout the event.
Communicate directly with clients, agents, record labels, promoters, and managers with a high level of discretion.
Qualifications Based in Los Angeles, CA, with the ability to travel most Thursdays through Sundays.
Experience with DJ equipment (decks, cables, mics, USBs, etc) and technical knowledge of standard equipment set up and functionality.
Minimum 1.5 years of experience in Tour and Stage Production.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Comfortable working in moderate to loud noise levels and late‑night environments.
Superior interpersonal, communication, and discretion skills.
Familiarity with DJ culture and the music industry is a plus.
