Are you a college student passionate about broadcast, video editing, or digital animation? As the Video Production & ThunderVision Intern, you will work alongside a team of creative professionals, learning about filming, editing, and live production. This opportunity is designed to help you build your skills and prepare for a future career in sports, media, or entertainment. Spring internships begin January 12, 2026. Our internship program provides practical experience in a professional environment, along with optional activities like resume reviews, development workshops, and occasional events designed to enhance the overall experience. We also offer perks such as paid downtown parking and tickets to a home game during the season!

In this role you will:

Organize and maintain digital archives. Log camera shots from in‑arena show, cut proof‑of‑plays from game recordings, and create melts from game videographer footage

Edit pre‑designed templates to build high‑quality content

Assist in assembling back drops and lighting equipment for video shoots

Learn proper camera techniques using various DSLR and broadcast cameras

Elevate your editing skills by learning precise color correction, strategic shot selection, and pacing

Shadow ThunderVision personnel during select home games

Perform occasional office and administrative duties

Participate in company‑scheduled internship program activities

Perform other duties as assigned

What you bring to the role:

Presently enrolled in an accredited college or university and approved by your school to receive course credit for the internship

Students pursuing a degree in broadcasting, video production, marketing or motion graphics preferred

Excellent communication and listening skills and the ability to communicate content across platforms: print, web, audio, video

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel

Some experience with Sony, Canon, and Panasonic cameras is preferred but not required

Avid, Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator experience is preferred

Knowledge of control room equipment such as Ross XPression, Click FX, and Evertz DreamCatcher

Additional details
This is a paid, in‑person internship reporting to the Manager, ThunderVision. The work schedule includes approximately 29 hours a week during regular office hours, though late‑night video shoots, and opportunities to work during Thunder and Blue game nights may also be required. The primary work location is the Thunder corporate office located at the Paycom Center in downtown Oklahoma City. Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds and work in‑arena, where loud music, crowd noise, and flashing or strobe lighting will be present.
