JOB DESCRIPTION
Dedicated regional route delivering to Dexter customers with one overnight per week
Home most nights and every weekend.
Equipment is an automatic Freightliner sleeper truck pulling a 48' or 53' flatbed
No tarping required, minimal strapping.
Pay structure includes miles, drop, and hourly pay. Approximately 1800-2000 miles/week.
Deliver trailer and trailer products to customers timely while operating a tractor-trailer truck, sometimes over intercity routes or spanning several areas of the state: including NH, MA, CT, or ME.
Record amount and type of cargo being delivered.
Report to a dispatcher any incidents encountered on the road. Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs.
Monitor road conditions and watch for traffic congestion.
Follow all applicable traffic laws.
Inspect trailer before and after the trip and record any defects they find.
Keep a log of activities.
Report serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel.
Take rest periods during trip, take special precautions while driving.
Sign-on bonus paid to qualified driver in 3 installments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be 21+ years of age
Valid Class A CDL Required.
Flatbed experience preferred.
1 year experience, including manual.
Proven working experience as a commercial truck driver.
Clean driving record - No DWI/DUI in the last 3 years.
Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
Knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
