Level 3 Network Engineer (Senior)
We are seeking a highly skilled Level 3 Network Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our enterprise network. This role serves as the top escalation point for complex issues and plays a key role in network architecture, performance, and security.
Key Responsibilities
Act as Tier 3 escalation for complex network incidents; perform root cause analysis using packet capture and advanced diagnostics
Design, implement, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure (routers, switches, VPNs, firewalls)
Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability across systems
Configure and maintain network hardware/software, including upgrades and security controls
Develop and enforce firewall rules and security best practices
Support disaster recovery planning and execution
Lead network improvement initiatives and support new deployments
Mentor junior engineers and collaborate across teams
Participate in on-call rotation and provide occasional onsite support
Qualifications
8–10+ years of enterprise networking experience
Expertise in BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, EVPN, MPLS, and core protocols (EIGRP, HSRP, VRRP, DNS, DHCP)
Strong experience with Cisco networking (IOS, NX-OS) and firewalls
Solid understanding of OSI model and advanced troubleshooting methodologies
Experience with SD-WAN and data center environments
Proven ability to lead projects and mentor junior staff
Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred
Experience with Cisco ACI and network segmentation
Experience with F5 load balancers
