Overview
The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities. Citi is seeking a highly motivated candidate for Python lead in Wholesale Credit Risk Technology team that serves Institutional Credit Management (ICM). We are looking for a talented professional with a solid technical acumen to partner with onshore and offshore teams and design and deliver innovative technology solutions for the front office, Credit Risk Business. The candidate will be a core member of the technology team responsible for implementing projects based on Python, FastAPI, MCP, LLM, Java and using latest technologies.
Job Responsibilities
Research and resolve complex issues, escalating as appropriate.
Build an enterprise scale highly componentized application using Python and FastAPI.
Hands‑on development experience in Python.
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes and other containerised platforms.
Effectively interact and collaborate with the development team.
Communicate development progress to the Project Lead.
Work with developers onshore, offshore and matrix teams to implement a business solution.
Investigate possible bug scenarios and production support issues.
Recent experience with modern Python Development using Large Language Models, Model Context Protocol, and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) architecture.
Experience developing applications in Financial Services industry is preferred.
Qualifications
8+ years of hands‑on experience in building enterprise‑scale applications.
Strong Python development skills.
Knowledge of FastAPI, MCP, LLM and related technologies.
Compensation and Benefits
Primary Salary Range: $125,760.00 - $188,640.00. In addition to salary, Citi’s offerings may also include discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards. Citi also offers paid time off packages, including planned time off (vacation), unplanned time off (sick leave), and paid holidays.
