Short Summary about Job:
HukariAscendent is seeking a Senior Architect with expertise in Federal, State, and Local codes applicable to architectural design, including Department of Energy (DOE) Orders. The Senior Architect will lead architectural design efforts, coordinate multi-discipline technical issues, and ensure regulatory compliance on complex engineering projects supporting DOE nuclear and government facilities.
Required Qualifications
Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate independent work requiring judgment, initiative, and experience in the application and adaptation of architectural techniques.
Coordinate technical issues with other disciplines, MSTS or customer organizations, or projects.
Provide expertise and guidance in architectural design, and the resolution of architectural technical, code, regulatory, and safety issues.
Manage special tasks and provide leadership, training, and consultation to co-workers.
Conduct construction document reviews as required.
Assist in the preparation of task estimates; perform studies and prepare analysis as required.
Interface with other design/construction disciplines, MSTS management and customers, as necessary.
Familiarity with MicroStation computer aided drafting applications is required.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Architecture with a combined 10 years’ professional architectural experience in relevant design/field experience required.
Registered Architect with current state registration.
Preferred Qualifications
National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) certification preferred.
Miscellaneous/Additional Information:
Must have a working knowledge of Federal (including Department of Energy Orders), State, and Local codes and standards applicable to architectural design.
