Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Vice President of Grounds & Landscaping, located in Detroit, MI. The VP of Grounds & Landscaping will oversee and manage all grounds maintenance, landscaping services, and related operations. Key responsibilities include providing strategic direction, managing teams and project timelines, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining client satisfaction. The role also involves budgeting, resource allocation, staff development, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Qualifications
Expertise in groundskeeping, landscaping, and property maintenance, with a strong understanding of best practices in horticulture, environmental care, and landscaping techniques.
Project management and leadership experience, including planning, resource management, and overseeing teams across multiple projects.
Strong budgeting and financial management skills, with ability to manage costs and create cost-effective solutions.
Proficiency in communication, problem-solving, and decision-making to build client relationships and ensure operational efficiency.
Experience ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental standards in landscaping and property maintenance industries.
Bachelor’s degree in horticulture, landscape architecture, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
7+ years experience in commercial landscaping or grounds management
3+ years in senior leadership or executive operation roles
Qualified Applicator License (Pesticide or Fertilizer_ preferred
Proficiency using management software and tools is a plus.
Ability to work on-site in Detroit, MI, with a commitment to community-focused and sustainable practices.
