Position : Mental Health Technician
Location : Philadelphia, PA
Duration : 12 weeks contract
Shift : 3x12 hrs Days, 36hrs/week
Pay Rate:
$22-$25
Job Summary:
The Mental Health Technician provides direct patient care in an inpatient psychiatric setting under the supervision of an RN. This role focuses on maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment while supporting patients with daily activities, behaviour management, and treatment participation.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and supervise patients in treatment, recreational, and daily living activities
Observe and document changes in behaviour and clinical status
Assist with crisis intervention and behaviour management
Lead psycho-educational and skill-building group sessions
Support individualized treatment plans and interdisciplinary team goals
Maintain accurate documentation and assist with charting, patient transport, and unit upkeep
Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or GED (or relevant experience)
Experience: Prior mental health/behavioural health experience preferred
Certifications: BLS required; CPI training required after hire
Experience :
Behavioural health: 2 years (Required)
License/Certification:
BLS Certification (Required)
