Python Developer
Work Location: Tampa, Florida
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Python Developer who can design, develop and maintain scalable backend and data‑driven applications. The role requires strong core Python skills, experience with frameworks, APIs, databases and exposure to cloud or data processing environments. The candidate is expected to work independently, contribute to architecture decisions and collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams.
Key Responsibilities – Design, develop, test and maintain high‑quality Python applications following best coding practices. Build and consume RESTful APIs using frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI or Django. Work on data processing, transformation and analysis for medium to large data sets where applicable. Collaborate with product owners, architects and other developers in Agile Scrum teams. Write clean, maintainable and well‑documented code, perform code reviews and mentor junior developers. Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance and scalability. Participate in design discussions and contribute to technical standards and best practices.
Mandatory Technical Skills – Strong proficiency in Python core language, OOP concepts, data structures, algorithms; experience with at least one Python framework (Django, Flask, FastAPI); hands‑on experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle); experience with REST APIs, JSON, API integration; familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines and development best practices; understanding of Linux/Unix environments.
Good to Have Skills – Experience with data engineering or big data tools (PySpark, Spark ETL pipelines); exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP); knowledge of Docker containerization; experience in domains such as Banking, Finance, Analytics or Automation (RPA); exposure to AI/ML or GenAI projects is a plus.
Education – Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
Soft Skills – Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills; good communication and stakeholder management; ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables; team player with mentoring mindset.
