
Operations Research Analyst

Join Point Solutions Group and our Federal Services Team supporting major space and defense work! We are seeking a Senior Operations Research Analyst to work with our team to support the United States Space Force Space Training and Readiness Command (STARCOM) Test and Evaluation Squadrons (TES) at Schriever SFB in Colorado Springs, CO. An active TS/SCI clearance is required.
Responsibilities
Apply operations research techniques, data analytics, modeling & simulation, and decision analysis to support mission-focused studies and analytical efforts.
Execute analytical tasks with appropriate levels of rigor based on problem complexity, available data, and mission requirements.
Translate customer requirements into structured analytical approaches and clearly communicate findings, assumptions, and recommendations.
Support senior analysts and project leads in evaluating alternatives, assessing risk, and informing leadership decision-making.
Collaborate within an integrated team of government and contractor personnel to deliver high-quality analytical products.
Contribute to the development and refinement of analytic methods, tools, and processes.
Required Skills and Experience
Active TS/SCI Clearance
Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Systems Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or a related technical discipline.
4-8 years of relevant analytical experience supporting defense, government, or complex technical programs.
Experience with modeling & simulation, statistical analysis, or design of experiments.
Strong quantitative skills with the ability to synthesize data into actionable insights.
Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing to team objectives.
Comfortable operating in secure environments (SCIF).
Active clearance or ability to obtain one (add level if needed).
Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in dynamic mission environments.
Preferred Skills and Experience
A Masters or Ph.D. in operations research or a theoretical science field
Experience in DoD space and joint force programs
Programming experience with Python, MATLAB, R, SQL, VBA
Experience developing and implementing mathematical and statistical models
Experience with Excel VBA
