Overview API Developer – Work Location: Wilmington DE, Hybrid (min 2 days in person). Implementation Partner: Capgemini
Responsibilities Create robust, secure, and scalable API endpoints and services.
Ensure APIs meet functional and non-functional requirements.
Connect internal systems and third-party services to ensure data flows smoothly.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for API usage, endpoints, and data structures.
Implement authentication/authorization (e.g., OAuth, API keys) and monitor API performance for troubleshooting.
Work with frontend and backend developers to define requirements and ensure efficient integration.
Qualifications Minimum 6+ year of experience as software developer
Have experience working with credit decisioning applications APIs
Experience with REST, GraphQL, SOAP, and API management platforms.
Strong knowledge of Backend languages like Python, Java, JavaScript (Node.js), or Ruby.
Proficiency in working with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) and writing SQL queries
Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman) and version control (e.g., Git).
