Psychiatrist Locum Tenens Job North Florida
Schedule: Four 10-hour days, 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
About the Role: Jackson and Coker is seeking a locum tenens psychiatrist to join a forensic mental health treatment facility serving adult male residents under Chapter 916, Florida Statutes. You will serve as the psychiatrist of record for an assigned caseload, with responsibilities spanning psychiatric evaluation, treatment planning, medication management, and court-related assessments in a multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychiatric evaluations for newly admitted residents
Develop individualized treatment plans with a multidisciplinary team
Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications
Complete clinical documentation and court-required summaries
Testify in court and participate in on-call Medical Officer of the Day rotation
Qualifications:
Active Florida Physician License
Board eligible or certified in Psychiatry
Experience working with serious mental illness, including forensic populations
Strong documentation and communication skills
