Overview
CompTech is seeking a highly skilled Operational Technology (OT) Cybersecurity Specialist to support enterprise‑scale OT Asset Management (AM) and System Visibility (SV) initiatives across DLA’s critical infrastructure. This role is focused on securing, analyzing, and enhancing visibility into OT environments, enabling risk‑informed decisions across thousands of mission‑critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
Lead OT asset discovery, system identification, and inventory validation across complex ICT environments
Perform packet capture and traffic analysis using tools such as Wireshark
Access and collect system data using Unix, Linux, and PowerShell
Navigate network infrastructure (e.g., switches and network layers) to retrieve configurations
Conduct operational technology asset inventory and data cataloging
Troubleshoot Tier 2‑level network and system issues
Coordinate site access with installation support teams prior to travel
Communicate scheduling and access needs (e.g., communications closets) with site personnel
Escalate access or technical issues through appropriate leadership channels
Maintain accurate documentation of collected data and findings
Support 250,000 OT/ICS devices across globally distributed DLA infrastructure
Systems include Facility‑Related Control Systems: HVAC, fuel systems, utilities, security, fire protection, and material handling
Direct impact on mission‑critical logistics and infrastructure resilience
Extensive travel required (approximately 60–80% of the time)
Assignments typically involve spending up to seven consecutive days at each site
Frequent transitions between multiple locations
Candidates must be comfortable with prolonged travel schedules and dynamic work environments
Required Security Clearance, Certification & Experience
Secret Security Clearance
CompTIA Security+
5+ years of formal experience in OT, ICS, cybersecurity, or network analysis roles
Hands‑on experience with OT/ICS technologies: PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and industrial network protocols
Strong understanding of OT cybersecurity principles, including threat vectors, segmentation, and system hardening
Experience assessing and securing OT environments aligned with DoD RMF/NIST frameworks
Proficiency in network traffic analysis, packet capture, and protocol inspection
Ability to retrieve and analyze configurations across networked and industrial systems
Working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and command‑line tools (e.g., PowerShell)
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate technical findings into actionable risk insights
Excellent communication skills with experience briefing technical findings to stakeholders
