Piper Companies is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer to support a leading organization in the technology-driven services industry. The Sr. Network Engineer will play a critical role in architecting, deploying, and maintaining next‑generation enterprise network solutions within a highly dynamic environment. The Sr. Network Engineer position onsite in Newton, Pennsylvania.
Responsibilities of the Sr. Network Engineer:
Design, configure, and maintain Cisco DNAC / Catalyst Center environments, including provisioning, assurance, and ongoing operations and maintenance.
Lead the architecture, deployment, and troubleshooting of Software‑Defined Access (SDA) solutions, including LISP, fabric components, micro‑segmentation, and DNAC/ISE integrations.
Manage and optimize the Cisco Catalyst 9000 switch family (9200‑CX, 9300, 9500, 9600) within large‑scale campus and data center environments.
Develop and enhance enterprise routing designs leveraging IPv4/IPv6 protocols such as BGP, IS‑IS, and OSPF.
Collaborate with cross‑functional infrastructure and security teams to ensure network performance, reliability, and compliance with organizational standards.
Perform advanced troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and lifecycle management across complex network architectures.
Qualifications of the Sr. Network Engineer:
7+ years of enterprise network engineering experience, with a focus on routing/switching
Deep hands‑on expertise with DNAC / Catalyst Center, including automation workflows, assurance, and operational best practices.
Proven experience designing and supporting Software‑Defined Access solutions, including LISP, fabric creation, policy design, and DNAC–ISE integration.
Extensive background with Cisco Catalyst 9000 platforms and related IOS‑XE technologies.
Strong proficiency in IPv4/IPv6 routing protocols (BGP, IS‑IS, OSPF) and scalable routing design.
Cisco certifications such as CCNP Enterprise, CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure, or equivalent real‑world expertise preferred.
Compensation for the Sr. Network Engineer includes:
Salary range: $135,000 - $160,000
Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO and sick leave as required by law
Standard business hours with on‑site presence in Newton, PA
