Position: Senior Network Engineer
Location: Redwood City, CA or Palo Alto, CA (100% On‑Site)
Length: 6‑month contract
Job Description: Senior Network Engineer to support campus, lab, and manufacturing environments with a strong focus on performance, segmentation, and secure access.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Deploy and support LAN/WLAN infrastructure across enterprise and OT environments
Perform wireless site surveys, RF tuning, and troubleshooting (experience with Juniper Networks Mist preferred)
Strong hands‑on experience with Cisco Catalyst & Nexus platforms
Deep knowledge of routing protocols including OSPF and BGP
Implement OT/IT segmentation using VLANs, VRFs, ACLs, and policy‑based controls
Experience with network authentication (RADIUS, TACACS+, 802.1X with EAP‑TLS)
Hands‑on network automation using Python, Ansible, and/or similar tools
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
Experience with DNS, DHCP, IPAM (e.g., Infoblox)
Exposure to Arista Networks switching is a plus
Strong troubleshooting skills in high‑availability environments
Qualifications:
8+ years of hands‑on network engineering experience
Experience in enterprise, lab, or manufacturing (OT) environments preferred
Strong understanding of secure network design and segmentation
