Network Engineer Shift: 1st
Duration of Assignment: 6-8 months
Pay Rate: Up to $48/hour (based on experience)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, and support secure, high‑performing network environments. This role requires hands‑on expertise with enterprise networking, security, virtualization, and Microsoft cloud technologies. The ideal candidate is a strong problem‑solver who can manage both day‑to‑day operations and longer‑term network design initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Configure, maintain, and support routers, switches, VPNs, and load balancers
Implement, manage, and troubleshoot firewalls and network security controls
Monitor network traffic and performance; proactively identify and resolve issues
Design, plan, and deploy new network solutions and infrastructure improvements
Diagnose and resolve complex network issues across on‑prem and cloud environments
Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure network reliability and security
Required Qualifications
Strong proficiency with TCP/IP protocols
Experience supporting Active Directory-based networks
Knowledge of security hardening best practices
Hands‑on experience with VMware and virtualization technologies
Experience with Microsoft Cloud Technologies (e.g., Azure, hybrid environments)
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex networking issues
Preferred Qualifications
Firewall platforms such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, or similar
Experience with load balancing solutions
Relevant certifications (CCNA/CCNP, VMware, Microsoft, etc.) are a plus
