Fall Creek is creating a world with better blueberries through its friendly, collaborative team spread across the globe. To help us accomplish this, we are seeking a qualified Network Engineer . This position will be located in Eugene, Oregon .

Position Summary
The Fall Creek Network Engineer will join our global IT Infrastructure and Cybersecurity team and focus on building, maintaining, and securing our rapidly expanding enterprise network across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Cisco Meraki solutions, network segmentation, and enterprise connectivity, with the ability to work in a dynamic, global environment that supports critical business operations, nursery operations, research, and production sites.

Essential Duties

Design, deploy, and support Cisco Meraki network infrastructure (firewalls, switches, wireless access points) across regional and global sites.

Assist in implementing VLANs and network segmentation strategies to strengthen cybersecurity posture and align with global standards.

Support initiatives by ensuring high-availability, low-latency, and secure connectivity at nursery, office, and research facilities worldwide.

Configure and maintain site-to-site VPNs, SD-WAN, and cloud connectivity solutions.

Leverage network monitoring/management tools for monitoring, alerting, and proactive issue resolution.

Collaborate with global IT teams (Oregon CS, Mexico, Peru, Chile, Spain, Netherlands, South Africa, China) to troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues in a follow-the-sun support model.

Participate in network performance analysis, capacity planning, and optimization to support business growth.

Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and IT policies (CIS Controls, NIST).

Assist with vendor management, hardware lifecycle planning, and lead-time logistics for global network hardware.

Document network configurations, standards, and processes; contribute to global naming conventions and infrastructure governance.

Required Qualifications

6-7 years of experience as a Network Engineer, preferably in a global or multi-site enterprise environment.

Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki or equivalent cloud-based networking solutions.

Proficiency in configuring VLANs, routing, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure.

Solid understanding of network monitoring and management tools (SolarWinds, Auvik, Nagios, Meraki Dashboard, etc.).

Familiarity with Microsoft security ecosystem (Defender, Intune, Entra ID).

Working knowledge of network segmentation, IP addressing (172.16.x.x-172.31.x.x), and VPN technologies.

Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and related networking fundamentals.

Experience troubleshooting complex connectivity issues across WAN, LAN, and wireless environments.

Ability to work cross-functionally with IT technicians and system administrators across regions.

Strong documentation and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Cisco or Meraki certifications (CCNA, CMNA, or equivalent).

Experience with global wireless rollout projects.

Exposure to ERP-related networking requirements and warehouse management connectivity.

Familiarity with ITIL practices for incident, problem, and change management.

Scripting or automation familiarity (Python, Ansible, PowerShell, Terraform) for configuration management.

Knowledge of cloud networking (Azure, Microsoft 365 integration).
