Network Engineer
We are looking for a Network Engineer to support and optimize network infrastructure in a high-performance trading environment. The role involves monitoring and improving network performance, troubleshooting production issues across colocation, office, and data center environments, and supporting firewall and Linux-based systems used in live trading. The ideal candidate will have experience with routing and switching, network security, multicast protocols, and Linux systems, along with relevant certifications such as CCNA/CCNP. Experience in financial markets or HFT environments, along with exposure to automation and monitoring tools, will be an advantage.
Responsibilities
Maximize network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades, and network optimization.
Provide hands‑on network support for production issues related to Colo/trading, office, and data center environments.
Support and administer firewall environments.
Upgrade data network equipment to the latest stable firmware releases.
Provide direct technical support of Linux and related technology in a production/live trading environment.
Provide direct technical support for networking issues and related areas in the production/live trading environment on Linux servers.
Knowledge of Multicast routing, PIM, IGMP protocols, etc.
Assist with networking monitoring and troubleshooting of Linux‑based servers, including supporting hardware changes, software installations, and upgrades.
Experience & Qualifications
Engineering degree in Computer Science (preferred) or any other discipline with 2–4 years of experience (preferably with an HFT).
Certification CCNP / CCNA in Routing & Switching.
Exposure to AWS will be an advantage.
Ability to set up and configure server hardware.
Expertise with VPNs (IPSec VPN, SSL VPN, Site‑To‑Site VPN) and firewall (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto).
Experience in Routing and Switching (VLANs, Inter VLAN routing, VTP, STP, EtherChannel, Layer 3, BGP, Static routing, Dynamic Routing Protocols).
Experience in Firewall and Security.
Knowledge of Linux and Shell/Python scripting.
Hands‑on experience in Monitoring Tools, preferably in the financial industry.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple high‑priority projects.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Good communication skills.
