Job Details
Title: Network Engineer
Work Arrangement: Remote (Eligible states: AK, AZ, FL, GA, NC, SC, OK, TN, TX, MO, VA)
On-Call: Participation in after-hours rotation required
Primary Responsibilities
Design, build, implement, and support network architectures in a Fortinet-focused environment
Provision new customer services within a service provider network
Maintain network availability, uptime, and performance
Troubleshoot complex customer issues and coordinate with third-party vendors
Develop automation and scripting to improve provisioning and operational efficiency
Create technical documentation for internal teams and customers
Serve as a technical resource for sales and customer-facing teams
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience working in a carrier-grade or MSP network environment
Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet technologies (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer or related tools)
Strong understanding of Layer 2 networking and Metro Ethernet environments
Experience with routing and networking technologies including: OSPF, BGP, MPLS, QoS, Multicast
Preferred
Fortinet Certified Professional (FCP) or other Fortinet certifications
Experience with network automation or scripting
Familiarity with Linux or network security platforms
