Overview Bobcat’s student program is an opportunity created to empower young professionals. Whether you’re looking for on-the-job experience, exploring a desired career path, or hoping for a foot in the door with us, we have an experience designed for you. As a Co-op or Intern you will be provided tools to further your professional development, apply your schooling to real-world projects, and gain hands-on experience while completing your undergraduate degree.
Co-op: An 8-month full-time employment experience. Co-ops are immersed in the worlds of corporate and production industry as a full-time team member.
Internship: A semester-long, part-time employment experience, with the opportunity to extend multiple semesters. Interns tap into the foundations of our corporate and production industries.
Co-op and Intern opportunities span across 18 of Bobcat’s different functions.
Role & Responsibility Develop new and modify existing parts using Creo
Modify and update Engineering drawings
Prepare Engineering Change Notices and Bill of Materials
Assist in prototype builds in the Bobcat lab
Assist with maintenance of Engineering machines
Participate in Design Reviews
Interface with all other Bobcat departments to develop solutions to problems
Job Requirement Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing seeking a degree in Agricultural or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
3.0 or higher GPA preferred
Be able to commit full-time to Bobcat for the entire term of the co-op (8 months) or internship (4 months)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
Communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Passion for sustainability and environmental responsibility
