The Joint, Office of the Secretary of War, Interagency Division (JOID) provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning the Department of War, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID offers a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues. The Acquisition and Technology Analysis Group within JOID specializes in the application of multi‑disciplinary analytic skills to support multiple clients within the Department of War. These clients include the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Research and Engineering, Office of the Under Secretary of War for Acquisition and Sustainment, DARPA, the Joint Staff, and USINDOPACOM. SPA provides critical decision support to enable and execute a strategy of technological superiority and the delivery and sustainment of secure, resilient, and preeminent capabilities to the warfighter quickly and cost‑effectively. Our team of experienced military, technical, and operations research analysts is skilled in evaluating military problems, identifying the driving factors, devising innovative approaches, collecting applicable data, developing necessary software tools, and performing thorough and timely assessments to inform technology and acquisition governance decisions to ensure U.S. military forces retain military superiority in the future.

We have a future need for a Military Satellite Communications Acquisition Analyst to provide onsite support at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.

Responsibilities
SPA is seeking an experienced MILSATCOM Acquisition Analyst to provide subject‑matter expertise in the modernization and sustainment of a number of systems/programs. The Analyst will provide acquisition, programmatic, and in‑depth technical, engineering, integration, and resilience support for satellite communications (SATCOM) systems. They will specifically address space, terminal, and ground mission planning and control segments of SATCOM systems for development, production, and fielding (e.g., Enhanced Polar System‑Recapitalization (EPS‑R), Evolved Strategic SATCOM (ESS), Protected Tactical SATCOM (PTS), Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF), Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS), Mobile User Objective System (MUOS), Family of Advanced Beyond‑Line‑of‑Sight Terminals (FAB‑T), Protected Tactical Enterprise Service (PTES), and commercial or hybrid SATCOM systems supporting DoW in any orbital plane).

Qualifications
Required:

7+ years of acquisition, design, or operational experience with military satellite communications systems and programs

10+ years of experience with military operations, acquisition, or design of military systems in general

Master's Degree

Active TS/SCI clearance

Able to work fully onsite based on client needs

Desired:

Previous experience supporting a PEO or PMO

DAWIA/DAU PM certification
