Sandis is currently looking for a Design Engineer to join our team in Oakland, CA. Our ideal candidate has experience with civil design, permitting, and applicable software applications including stormwater drainage programs and AutoCAD. Cool Stuff You Get To Do
Assist with developing improvement plans including rough/finish grading, stormwater management, and utility plans.
Design of utility systems including water, sanitary, and storm drain.
Assist with fire flow tests.
Interact with other members of a design team including Architects, Landscape Architects, and MEP Engineers.
Engineering support during construction, including review of material submittals, answering Requests for Information (RFIs), site observations, among other things.
Conduct engineering assessments.
Prepare technical engineering reports.
Coordinate with private, public, and governmental agencies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
2+ years of relevant experience
EIT Certification Preferred
Familiar with AutoCAD
Familiarity and understanding of rough and finish grading plans.
Knowledge of utility systems including sanitary sewer, storm drainage, and water distribution.
