Overview
Reflexive Concepts is seeking a skilled Network Engineer I to join our team. The Network Engineer must provide Network Communication services to enhance and complement High Performance Computing (HPC) sustainment capabilities at two sites and geographic locations. The Contractor must provide Network IT Services to include systems and network engineering planning, implementation and validation, technical documentation and training.
Responsibilities
Provide network engineering services including planning, implementation, validation, documentation, and training.
Support development and sustainment of HPC networks at two sites.
Install and configure Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and IPsec VPNs; participate in datacenter network design and architecture.
Implement and maintain network security including intrusion protection and access controls, and support datacenter virtualization (VMware) and Solaris containers.
Configure and troubleshoot physical network devices (routers, switches, load balancers, security devices).
Work with TCP/IP and routing/switching protocols; L2/L3 and stateful firewall knowledge; VPNs and security boundaries.
Utilize Atlassian Tool Suite; support on-call requirements and ticketing systems (Remedy or equivalent).
Prepare and maintain technical documentation and training materials.
Qualifications
Three years demonstrable experience in network engineering (LAN), architecture, monitoring, security, and protection, or five years of experience in lieu of a degree.
Datacenter network design and architecture experience including installation and configuration of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and IPsec VPNs.
Proficiency with Cisco IOS, CatOS, NX-OS; firewall policies and access control; CiscoWorks; TACACS+; ASA; FWSM; HP OpenView; Cisco routers/switches; F5/Cisco load balancers; Infiniband; Juniper; Fibre Channel (FC) SAN; VPN (IPsec).
Experience with physical installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network devices.
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing/switching, L2/L3 protocols; stateful firewalls and L3 access controls.
Working knowledge of Atlassian Tool Suite.
Ability to support on-call requirements and work in live call environments using Remedy or other ticketing systems.
Experience with virtualization products (VMware) and Solaris containers.
DoD 8570 IAT II level certification required.
