Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer to serve as the technical lead for all network-related activities across our Atlanta on-premises infrastructure and AWS cloud environment. This role is critical to ensuring the performance, security, and reliability of our enterprise network systems.
Key Responsibilities
Network Infrastructure Management
Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade LAN/WAN networks.
Configure and manage Cisco routers and switches, including: Cisco 4331, ISR 4331, 2911, C1111-4P, Cisco Catalyst 9300, 2960.
Manage wireless infrastructure including Meraki MR33 access points and MV12 cameras.
Administer Cisco UCS systems and Cisco BE6000 CallManager.
Cloud Network Operations
Configure and monitor AWS-based network devices: Cisco CSR 1000v, Netscaler ADC, Checkpoint firewalls (HA across two AWS regions).
Ensure high availability and security across cloud environments.
Collaborate with cloud teams to optimize inter‑account traffic and firewall policies.
Security & Firewall Administration
Manage Checkpoint 5100 firewalls on-premises and in AWS.
Interact with Checkpoint Diamond support for advanced troubleshooting.
Monitor and enforce network security policies and compliance standards.
Performance Monitoring & Troubleshooting
Proactively monitor network performance and availability.
Troubleshoot issues across VPN, VoIP (CallManager), and network security layers.
Lead incident resolution and root cause analysis.
Technical Leadership
Act as the primary technical point of contact for all network-related requests.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.
Lead strategic projects to improve network scalability and reliability.
Documentation & Lifecycle Management
Maintain detailed documentation of network architecture, configurations, and procedures.
Manage lifecycle of network hardware and software assets.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in enterprise networking.
Strong expertise in Cisco and Checkpoint networking technologies.
Preferred AWS cloud networking knowledge.
Hands‑on experience with firewalls, VPNs, VoIP systems, and monitoring tools.
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and project management skills.
Preferred Certifications
Cisco CCNP or CCIE
AWS Certified Advanced Networking
Checkpoint Certified Security Expert (CCSE)
Work Environment
Hybrid role with at least 50% on-site presence at the Atlanta office.
Occasional after-hours support for critical incidents or upgrades.
