
Product Design Engineer

We are seeking a Product Design Engineer to support the design, development, and improvement of mechanical components and assemblies. This role will be responsible for creating functional, manufacturable, and cost-effective designs while collaborating with cross‑functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and engineering. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical design skills and experience working in a production‑driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using 3D CAD software
Create detailed engineering drawings, models, and bills of materials (BOMs)
Support new product development from concept through production release
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability, assembly, and cost efficiency
Design and support structural components, brackets, mounting systems, and mechanical assemblies
Assist with prototype development, testing, and implementation into production
Troubleshoot design and production issues and implement engineering solutions
Support engineering change requests and maintain design documentation
Participate in continuous improvement and product enhancement initiatives
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Required)
Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, or similar
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles
Ability to read and create engineering drawings and specifications
Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
Ability to work in a team‑oriented manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience with sheet metal, structural components, or welded assemblies
Knowledge of fabrication and assembly processes
Experience supporting production and engineering teams
