Join Leidos as a Network Engineer in Orlando, FL. The role requires on‑site work. An active Secret clearance is required, with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide Network Engineering support for the design, documentation, implementation, maintenance, and operation of an evolving network architecture. Provide cross‑discipline training for all team personnel.
Manage network architecture to include operational and security related updates and changes.
Lead the deployment planning and coordination of network system upgrades at various field sites, both CONUS and OCONUS as required.
Interface with Tier 2 to assist with coordination and issue escalation as appropriate.
Provide briefings and regular status updates to Program leadership on issues.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field with 8‑15 years of relevant experience.
Active and current Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance.
Demonstrated subject matter expertise in network infrastructure.
Demonstrated experience of Juniper SSR architecture and configuration.
Expertise in SD‑WAN technologies and implementation.
Demonstrated proficiency in Cisco IOS/IOS‑XE operating systems.
Strong understanding of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
Experience with network virtualization and software‑defined networking.
Familiarity with network automation tools.
Proven track record in SD‑WAN solutions.
Familiarity with WAN optimization.
Understanding and implementing QoS.
Proficient knowledge of network engineering, network architecture, and network automation.
Strong written and verbal communication, team building, and collaboration skills.
Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Knowledge of network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios).
Familiarity with VoIP and unified communications technologies.
Understanding of containerization and microservices architectures.
Pay Range
Pay Range $92,300.00 - $166,850.00. The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, internal equity, market data, bargaining agreement, and applicable law.
