Job Summary
Our client has an immediate hybrid opportunity for an experienced Network Engineer to help deliver technology solutions that run mission‑critical aspects of their IT functions. The network team works closely with the IT organization to monitor, manage, administer, and provide operational support for the company networks.

Location: Edison, New Jersey
Job Type: Solutions
Compensation: $43 - 55 per hour
Work Hours: 9 am to 5 pm
Education: Associates (or equivalent experience)
Hybrid Schedule: 60/40 – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote
Responsibilities
Configure, patch, and support network devices
Create and maintain network support documentation
Update and/or create new firewall policies, DNS records, and access control lists
Keep network monitoring tools up to date with new and existing devices
Follow the change control process when making changes on network devices
Provide administrative support for company networks
Desired Skills & Experience
Strong understanding of network infrastructure and hardware
Experience working at financial institutions and with financial applications (preferred)
Excellent analytical, organizational, time‑management, and communication skills
Ability to author work instructions, best‑practice documents, and procedures
Demonstrated ability to master new and diverse technologies
Proven ability to work well in a team environment
Dependable and flexible when necessary
Qualifications
Extensive experience with Palo Alto Firewall Policy management, including creating, writing, and maintaining policies and documentation
Proficiency with Palo Alto, Cisco, and other networking technologies listed below
Other Requirements
Switching and Routing – Arista/Cisco
DNS, DHCP, and IPAM (DDI) – Infoblox
Load Balancing – Riverbed Steelcentral, Appresponse, NetProfiler
SD‑WAN – Viptela
Firewall – Cisco and Palo Alto

Wireless Administration – Meraki LAN
Monitoring – SolarWinds Orion, Thousand Eyes, Extrahop Discovery, Forescout CounterACT

Network Access Control (NAC)

Job Requirements
Minimum of 7 years of experience engineering and supporting the technologies listed in Other Requirements
Ability to collaborate with resources across multiple disciplines
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or relevant hands‑on experience
