They collaborate closely with the entire surgical team to ensure the optimization of patient outcomes by confirming all necessary surgical supplies and equipment are sterile and functional, assisting with safe patient positioning and draping, and coordinating immediate post-surgical continued patient care.Essential Work Functions:Maintain proficiency in Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including open and closed heart surgeriesPrepare the Cardiovascular operating room for the patient and surgical procedureAssemble equipment, supplies, medications, and implants, ensuring equipment functions and supplies are availableCollaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and the surgical team to deliver coordinated careUtilize data from surgical preference cards for the surgical procedure and surgeonPosition patients safely using approved devices to prevent
