Janus Soft is looking for a high-caliber Network Engineer to join the "Silverstone" team in Chantilly. In this role, you will be the primary guardian of a complex, secure network infrastructure designed to support mission-critical intelligence operations.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of our datacenter network, ensuring high availability, peak performance, and ironclad security. We are looking for an engineer who is equally comfortable deep‑diving into Cisco IOS/NX‑OS configurations as they are collaborating within an agile team to transform our client's hybrid cloud platform. Mandatory Skills
Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph.
Cisco Expertise: Minimum of 5 years of experience configuring Cisco IOS and/or Cisco NX-OS within a high‑stakes datacenter environment.
Core Networking: Proven experience with VLANs, advanced routing protocols, and rigorous security settings.
Network Operations: Demonstrated success in Cisco implementations, focusing on the optimization of network processing and overall operational efficiency.
Agile Mindset: Ability to work independently while contributing to a fast‑paced agile team environment.
Desired Skills
Hardware Specifics: Experience with Top-of-Rack (ToR) switch configurations.
Storage Networking: Familiarity with Storage Area Network (SAN) configuration and maintenance.
Cloud Transformation: Experience assisting in the migration or integration of on‑premise infrastructure into hybrid cloud platforms.
Security Hardening: Advanced knowledge of implementing DISA STIGs or similar security benchmarks on network appliances.
