Certified Medical Assistant (Pediatric Practice) - Goodlettsville Pediatrics

Goodlettsville Pediatrics, a Division of Summit Medical Group, is seeking experienced Pediatric Medical Assistants (Licensed, Certified, or Registered) to join their "floor nurse" clinical team.

This role requires a high attention to detail and excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task while aiding in the healthcare of children.

Our busy outpatient Pediatric Practice in Goodlettsville, TN provides excellent healthcare for infants, adolescents, and teens based upon the American Academy of Pediatrics, Bright Futures Periodicity Schedule.

Responsibilities: (List does not include all duties assigned)

  • Clinical Staff provides support to Medical Providers by aiding in office exams, triaging phone calls, administering ordered vaccines, and helping with in office procedures.
  • Performs point-of-care testing that may include urine analysis, molecular strep & flu testing, fecal occult blood, pregnancy tests, finger sticks, with in-house CBC testing.
  • Ability and experience with Electronic Medical Records as you will complete the prepping, intake, and documentation into patient charts daily.
  • Reconcile any incoming documents from specialists or hospitals, i.e., Newborn Screenings
  • Review current vaccine status with State Immunization Registry
  • Follow quality measures needed during visit for our Patient Centered Medical Home program.
  • Accurate Vitals to include reviewing the Growth Chart for proper growth of child
  • Perform Vision & Hearing Tests as required by age of exam.
  • Medication Reconciliation
  • Reviewing and updating the Problem List
  • Complete proper Screening Questionnaires based upon AAP Bright Futures
  • Ability to build rapport with patients and families.
  • Maintains stocked, neat, and clean examination rooms and common work areas daily.
  • Adheres to established policies and procedures including OSHA guidelines and the Corporate Compliance Program.
  • Perform duties assigned in a professional manner following established policies and procedures while showing courteous and cooperative manner to co-workers, management, and public.
  • Maintains strictest confidentiality.
  • Actively takes part in site-level Quality Improvement Activities. Each employee will contribute to the continual evaluation site performance as well as the implementation and measurement of improvement activities that increase the quality of care provided to patients.

Education: High School Diploma - required

Certificate or License for respective credentials - required

Experience: Minimum two years' pediatric office experience preferred
