We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Network Engineer with foundational knowledge in RF engineering and microwave systems . This role supports the design, installation, and maintenance of point-to-point and point-to-multipoint wireless networks, assisting senior engineers in planning, optimizing, and troubleshooting microwave links.
This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career engineers to gain hands-on experience in RF design, network engineering, and wireless system deployments in utility, industrial, and government environments.
Responsibilities
Assist with the design and planning of microwave (MW) links and wireless networks
Support RF engineering activities including link budget calculations and coverage analysis
Help conduct line-of-sight (LOS) surveys and path feasibility studies
Assist with wireless system optimization for capacity, availability, and interference mitigation
Support the preparation of installation drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and technical documentation
Assist senior engineers with field testing, site surveys, and system validation
Learn to use tools such as Pathloss 6 and Infovista Planet for network analysis and design
Collaborate with project teams to meet scope, schedule, and quality goals
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field
Basic knowledge of RF principles, wireless communication, and microwave systems
Familiarity with networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, routing)
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to work onsite in Overland Park, KS
Preferred Qualifications
Internship or co-op experience in RF, microwave, or network engineering
Hands-on experience with RF tools, wireless testing, or network simulation software
Interest in utility or industrial wireless networks
