About the Opportunity:
A global, public software company is seeking a
Senior Accountant Consultant
to support the corporate accounting function. This will be a hands-on position focusing on fixed assets, lease accounting (ASC 842), as well as other ad-hoc areas on the corporate accounting team.
Duration:
3-4 months minimum
Location:
100% Remote on PST hours
Compensation:
$65-75/HR W2
Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
Scope:
Hands-on support of month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations
Maintain and reconcile fixed asset records, including acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation schedules
Owns lease accounting in compliance with ASC 842, preparing and maintaining lease schedules, and related entries
Partner with project managers to evaluate CIP activities, including capitalization vs. expense decisions and project tracking
Supports a fast-moving environment, leveraging strong accounting knowledge and experience
Acts as a utility player to support the corporate accounting function with ad-hoc projects or responsibilities as needed
Applies applicable accounting standards and ensures compliance with US GAAP
Learn quickly and work successfully in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while remaining hands-on throughout
Qualifications & Expertise:
Bachelors Degree, required
Strong senior accountant level accounting experience with large, public companies, required
Experience with fixed asset accounting, required
Big 4 or public accounting background, required
Public company experience, required
CPA, strongly preferred
Strong with large ERP systems
