A professional services firm is seeking a System Engineer to design, implement, and support a Microsoft-centric infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. This individual will work very close with IT leadership to ensure performance across enterprise systems.
What You Will Do
Design and support a Microsoft based infrastructure across cloud and on premises environments
Design and manage identity and access controls across Active Directory and Azure AD environments.
Deploy and maintain Hyper-V virtualization platforms and high-availability clusters.
Automate operational tasks using PowerShell and other scripting tools.
Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and resilience
Lead incident response, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives
Support storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions
Collaborate with internal teams and act as a senior technical escalation point
What You Bring
Extensive experience in Microsoft environments across cloud and server infrastructure
Strong knowledge of Azure, virtualisation, identity management, and security best practice
Experience with automation and scripting
Solid understanding of infrastructure, storage, and backup solutions
Strong problem solving skills and ability to operate in fast paced environments
Confident communicator with a collaborative and proactive approach
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a relevant field such as Computer Science or Information Technology.
10+ years of experience in a Microsoft IT environment.
Experience with Microsoft M365 Suite, Azure, Intune, MFA, Microsoft System Center, Microsoft Hyper-V, Microsoft Exchange on-prem, Microsoft Exchange Online, Citrix, Microsoft Defender Suite, Nimble Storage, Pure Storage, HP ProLiant Servers, Exagrid & Rubrik backup solutions, Symantec backup solutions.
