Seal Repair Technician (Houston)

Flexaseal Engineered Seals and Systems, LLC, is a worldwide systems and mechanical seal manufacturer with facilities in Vermont, New York, Washington, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Texas and Brazil. After 40 years, Flexaseal is continuing to grow with sales agents and distributors servicing over 50 countries. We are seeking a Seal Repair Technician to join our Louisiana team!
Responsibilities:
Must maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas.
Able to read mechanical and technical drawings
Able to use measuring instruments to inspect seal parts against dimensional drawings
Other duties include:
Responsible for receiving, evaluating, disassembly/assembly, cleaning and repairing mechanical seals and/or seal parts.
Cycle counting and inventory management.
The initial process includes receiving the products, ensuring all documentation has been supplied (e.g., SDS), documenting and identifying the seal parts, and evaluating the repair needs.
Works closely with the Applications and Design Engineering team on reviewing repair needs and having design prints and parts created.
Regularly performs the disassembly, proper cleaning of all components, with use of manual lathes, grinders, drill presses and lapping machines.
Assembles final products based on detailed blueprint drawings and preforms pressure testing as required.
Work closely and professionally with internal team members to find solutions and resolve matters promptly by providing all recipients with up to date and comprehensive data.
Perform other general duties as assigned
Previous experience with mechanical seals is required.
