Network Engineer II Job at Insight Global in Greensboro
Insight Global, Greensboro, NC, United States
Job Description
A client in the Greensboro, NC area is seeking some Level 2 Network Engineers to join their team. The primary emphasis is on vulnerability management, hardening, and patching of Cisco network environments, along with operational support to maintain stability and uptime in a regulated healthcare setting. This is an execution‑focused role centered on remediation and operational reliability rather than network design or architecture.
The Network Engineer will focus on vulnerability management and remediation across Cisco network infrastructure, ensuring patches, upgrades, and hardening activities are executed consistently in production environments. Day to day, this includes coordinating infrastructure‑level patching efforts, researching and validating remediation approaches, and submitting changes through formal change‑management processes. The role also involves operational responsibilities such as troubleshooting network‑related tickets, responding to production issues, and supporting overall network stability and uptime. While vulnerability scanning and reporting may be handled by a separate security or tooling team, this engineer is responsible for executing remediation actions, validating fixes, and maintaining a secure and reliable network environment.
We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer that believes everyone matters. Qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment regardless of their race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital status, national origin, ancestry, genetic factors, age, disability, protected veteran status, military or uniformed service member status, or any other status or characteristic protected by applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances. If you need assistance and/or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or recruiting process, please send a request to HR@insightglobal.com.
