**What this Job Entails:**The Network Engineer I is a focal point for all internal and external orders required to maintain the network. This position requires the ability to work independently with a high level of accuracy and attention to details.**Technical Responsibilities:*** Troubleshoot issues across networking, systems, and basic power infrastructure domains, including UPS configuration, power distribution, and standard datacenter power connectors (e.g. 20A and 30A circuits)* Diagnose and resolve physical layer outages, including device failures, boot issues, cabling faults, and power-related problems* Install, rack, cable, and maintain network infrastructure and associated equipment* Triage and resolve tickets related to network infrastructure and cabling issues* Serve as an on-site resource for networking infrastructure and related physical systems* Troubleshoot and replace network hardware as needed* Manage inventory in accordance with our standards* Act as remote hands and eyes for engineering teams during deployments and incident response**We are looking for:*** Hands-on experience with wired, optical, and wireless networking equipment* Understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts* Familiarity with basic network troubleshooting and device bring-up* Experience working with ticketing systems such as Jira or similar tools* Ability to work independently and manage on-site priorities effectively* Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to troubleshooting* Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills* Ability to maintain a regular on-site presence based on an agreed schedule**Skills*** Experience with rack and stack, structured cabling, and hardware lifecycle management* Experience supporting office, lab, or datacenter environments* Familiarity with inventory management and spare parts tracking* Exposure to enterprise networking environments and tooling**Physical Demand & Work Environment:*** Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing* Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment* Must be able to use a computer* Must have the ability to communicate effectively* Some positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers**Salary Range**$59,812.00 - $94,440.00 USD (Salary)* *Please note that the salary information provided herein is base pay only (gross); it does not include other forms of compensation which may or may not apply to this specific position, namely, performance-based bonuses, benefits-related payments, or other general incentives - none of which are guaranteed, may be subject to specific eligibility requirements, and are wholly within the discretion of Astreya to remit.** *Further, the salary information noted above is a range that consists of a minimum and maximum rate of pay for this specific position.
