Position Summary
Global C2 Integration Technologies is looking for talented and enthusiastic Senior Network Engineer who designs, implements, and sustains secure network infrastructure supporting mission‑critical systems. This role leads network engineering efforts across routing, switching, firewall management, and monitoring to ensure reliable and secure communications in operational environments. It provides leadership in focused technical areas and team activities, leading implementation, analysis, and documentation efforts. The position leads Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), ensures timely task execution, and mentors junior engineers while supporting cross‑functional collaboration. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities
Lead design, implementation, operation, and maintenance of secure mission network infrastructure
Ensure reliable connectivity across computers, storage, and application systems
Lead network upgrades, maintenance, and configuration management activities
Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, baselines, and procedures
Configure and administer Cisco Catalyst switches (Layer 2/3)
Implement VLANs, trunking, STP, LACP, routing protocols, and ACLs
Troubleshoot and resolve switching and performance issues
Maintain configuration baselines and backups
Configure and manage Palo Alto firewalls and secure network segmentation
Implement firewall policies, NAT, application filtering, and threat prevention
Monitor firewall activity and coordinate with cybersecurity teams
Design and support architectures; monitor network performance, availability, and security
Analyze traffic, bandwidth utilization, and system performance
Maintain dashboards, alerts, and reporting
Diagnose and resolve network faults, incidents, and outages
Implement network security controls aligned with NIST and RMF requirements
Support vulnerability remediation, patching, and system hardening
Participate in security assessments, audits, and compliance reviews
Maintain secure segmentation and access controls
Support incident response, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
Manage configuration and change control processes for network devices
Implement approved changes and maintain configuration records and inventories
Lead IPT activities, technical reviews, and engineering discussions
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and staff
Support integration with systems, cybersecurity, and test teams
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology
5+ years of experience supporting enterprise or mission‑critical network environments
Experience with Cisco Catalyst switching platforms
Experience with Palo Alto firewall administration
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, monitoring, and troubleshooting
Desired Qualifications
Familiarity with RMF and network security compliance
Experience with network monitoring tools, IDS/IPS, and secure enclave networking
Relevant certifications (CCNA/CCNP, PCNSE/PCNSA, Security+)
Experience with COMSEC equipment
