Duties and Responsibilities
Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.
Education
Preferred Credential: Master's degree in communications.
Experience
Teaching experience in a university setting,
At least one year of online teaching experience required.
A minimum of three years of work experience in the field of communications (PR, Communications Specialist, etc.)
Required Skills
Mastery of course content;
Knowledge of current communications theories;
Familiarity with learning management systems (e.g., BrightspaceCanvas LMS, Blackboard Learn);
Experience with digital media tools (video, podcasting, social media platforms);
Basic multimedia content creation and evaluation;
Understanding of digital communication trends and audience engagement;
Knowledge of professional, organizational, and digital communication practices.
