Job Description
At Lockheed Martin, our Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) National Team (C2NT) is pioneering the development and integration of cutting‑edge technologies to advance the Missile Defense System, safeguarding the United States and its allies. Our collaborative and agile organization operates in a fast‑paced environment, driving innovation through tasks such as sensor/weapon integration, algorithm development, user interface development, automated testing, cyber security, enterprise/infrastructure services, and enhancing leading‑edge missile defense technologies.

What We’re Doing
You will support the implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of LockheedMartin’s enterprise network infrastructure for the C2BMC program. Your day‑to‑day duties include configuring and maintaining routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto), monitoring LAN/WAN performance, and resolving connectivity, latency, and packet‑loss issues. You will implement core networking technologies such as VLANs, OSPF, BGP, GRE tunnels, and multicast, and you’ll collaborate with senior engineers and cross‑functional IT teams on network design, upgrades, and project deployments. The role requires regular travel to remote sites for installations, independent troubleshooting, and status reporting, as well as on‑call support outside regular business hours when critical activities arise.

Please Note

This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration.

This position is based at a Lockheed Martin facility in Colorado Springs, CO. The role requires flexibility to travel to alternate work locations as needed (valid passport required).

Who We Are
As leader of the C2BMC team, Lockheed Martin directs a partnership of highly responsive industry leaders developing and fielding the backbone of America’s missile defense. Together, this national team supports the design, development, test, integration and fielding of hardware and software elements that enable the Missile Defense System (MDS) to function effectively and continually. You will also have the opportunity to interface with our key customers in the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).

Who You Are
You are a proven mid‑level network engineer with at least three years of hands‑on experience designing, testing, and supporting multi‑vendor LAN/WAN environments. You bring a strong foundation in the OSI model, TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and firewall technologies, and you are comfortable performing root‑cause analysis and documenting resolutions. Your communication skills enable you to convey complex technical concepts clearly, both in writing and presentations (PowerPoint, Visio). You hold the required certifications, a Secret clearance, and the U.S. citizenship and passport needed to travel and support this critical defense program.
