Gyga Force has a client in San Francisco seeking a highly experienced Senior Board Level Design Engineer to join a growing engineering team focused on advanced electronic systems and next-generation products. This is a hands-on role for an engineer who can contribute across multiple disciplines and take ownership from concept through production.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned engineer with strong board-level hardware design expertise spanning digital, analog, power management, and full system-level development. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working across architectures, and driving products from early design through validation and release.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop complex board-level electronic systems from concept through production
Work across digital, analog, and mixed-signal circuitry
Develop power management architectures including regulators, sequencing, protection, and power integrity considerations
Participate in overall system architecture, component selection, and tradeoff analysis
Perform schematic capture, board bring-up, debug, validation, and root-cause analysis
Collaborate with PCB layout, manufacturing, test, and cross-functional engineering teams
Support design reviews, documentation, and continuous product improvement efforts
Contribute to instrumentation or measurement-related system designs when applicable
Qualifications:
BSEE or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
6+ years of board-level hardware design experience
Strong experience in digital and analog circuit design
Solid knowledge of power management and system integration
Experience with system level design
Experience taking products through full development cycles
Strong troubleshooting, lab debug, and validation skills
Ability to work independently and lead technical efforts
Bonus Qualifications:
FPGA design or integration experience
Embedded firmware experience using C/C++
Instrumentation, measurement systems, or precision electronics background
Experience mentoring junior engineers or leading projects
