Summary
The Soda Fountain/Retail Manager is responsible for the overall day to day management and operation of the Soda Fountain and Retail store and its employees.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Directs preparation of food and drinks served using established production procedures and systems
- Directs hiring, training, and scheduling of Soda Fountain and Retail staff
- Enforces sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas
- Ensures compliance with all health & safety regulations
- Responsible for maintaining inventory of food and retail merchandise, sends in Drug Store and Soda Fountain inventory and list of checks written on a monthly basis
- Ensures all equipment is maintained and in proper working order
- Reconciles credit card statement and process all store invoices
- Properly and accurately handles and deposits payments at the end of each day
- Ensures all associates provide prompt, courteous customer service
- Oversees necessary housecleaning duties to maintain store cleanliness and basic upkeep
- Assists in maintaining proper inventory levels by placing necessary orders, inputting into POS system and shift audits
- Controls merchandise, cash shortages, and other selling expenses
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred
- 3-5 years experience in retail sales and restaurant management preferred
- Ability to perform the essential duties as outlined above
- Ability to work successfully in a team environment
